Channel 4's New Friday Night Lineup

Recommended Posts

The only part of Balls of Steel I saw was the stuntman thing (and it was a complete accident). I thought that was a fantastic part, don't know about the rest.

It was indeed great, coming as it was from the Back Of The Y team, who always pack as much into their stuff as they can, jamming in nice little lines like "Piranhas: often called the freshwater sharks of the sea", having the lead players playing more than one part, and taking time to get everything right. Hopefully, this'll lead to repeat of Back Of The Y on MTV2. Randy Campbell calling Smug Presenter a cock within five seconds was good, too.

The rest was the direct opposite. Five minutes on a segment where the only joke was "Here's a fake quiz we've done, where the buzzers don't work properly!", another mind-numbing five minutes of "We interview celebs at events, yeah? With one of those microphones where a cube with the channel logo is near the top, yeah? Only the part of the cube they can't see, yeah, says something like, 'I AM TEH GAY', yeah? And we'll drag this out for five minutes, yeah? More cocaine, Sebastian?', and so on. HAVE MORE THAN ONE IDEA YOU CUNTRAGS.

Was Balls of Steel the show that the infamous Tom Cruise incident was filmed for? What they had on there was about as pathetic as that stunt. Overall it was dreadful but I admit I found that Welsh fella sandpapering his arse moderately entertaining.

As for the devil bloke throwing shit over someone then getting all defensive because that person went to kick some more shit out of him? It's just a shame the shit-covered chav in question didn't do the job properly

For the first time in ages, all of Channel 4's Friday night schedule is shit.

Post-Big Brother comedy always is. Maybe they're trying to retain all the new viewers they get during the summer over to their usual content - only it always turns out to be watered-down mediocrity.

Max & Paddy = What the fuck was Peter Kay thinking?

Doesn't deserve a repeat. :(

Apparently a second series is in the pipeline.

I loved his stand up stuff and Phoenix Nights, but M & P was awful.

"The reason Phoenix Nights is so funny is because of me, and my catchphrases. And that Patrick McGuiness is also funny. And that Dave Spikey and Neil Fitzmaurice had nothing to do with Phoenix Nights being good. At all. Now, off to cream in more money selling beer when I am, in fact, a teetotal hypocrite.

Don't mums say funny things. God, I'm wacky."
