His return is absolutely diabolical for the amount of minutes he's been on the field for us. To replace him you'd just need to find someone who can come in and score a single goal in two full seasons and cough up the ball at the edge of the D every twenty minutes. He can put a shift in when he's annoyed about something, but he's just OK at several things rather than being particularly good anything. Just give some more time to Willock, Maitland-Niles and Smith-Rowe and cash in whilst we can. I don't think this is one we'll regret.

There's a few tackles going in but nothing too heavy - Tierney needs to stay on his meet. Laca got away with what should have been a booking.

Need to get on top of things here. Vardy is running amok.

Last night was fairly typical of an Arteta era game, we show signs of good improvement in a period but can’t quite string a whole match of it together.

far less fannying around at the back but still little game control - that said he is making best do with what he has available and bringing thru/redeeming a few players so positive signs.

Uh, my son has torn down his arsenal posters, and ditched his arsenal duvet cover and pyjamas.

and he’s still angry this morning

Get him on AFTV with the other kids.

yeah, about that.

turns out it’s not so much the result, as the fact it’s another stick to beat him with.

he’s being bullied by West Ham fans(!) at school who call him the N word in WhatsApp voice calls,, and tell him he’s adopted, because he’s a different skin colour to his mother.

but football, eh?

God our back 3 are shit. Why Arteta didn't play Holding instead of Kolasinac is beyond me. You just knew that sucker punch was coming but TBH we were lucky to not be 2-3 goals down with some of the defensive giveaways in the first half.

On a more positive note, Mourinho looks to be instilling his usual joyless defensive football at Spurs. I can't believe Kane and Son will want to stay on if he stays as manager.

One eye on the cup game maybe?

That goal was coming - we haven't had a kick for 15 minutes and just keep kicking possession back to them.

Feels like we've had less possession in this half than spurs had in the second half on Sunday.
