Michael Bay's remake of Danish movie Ambulancen. Stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza Gonzalez, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Garret Dillahunt.

Gyllenhaal and Abdul-Mateen play military veteran friends. Abdul-Mateen's wife needs surgery, so Gyllenhaal brings him on board a bank robbery to get him money to pay for it. Robbery goes wrong and they end up hijacking an ambulance to escape. Gonzales is the paramedic in the ambulance, which is also carrying one of the cops who responded to their bank robbery and got shot.

Looks like Bay has finally discovered FPV drones for high speed action footage.

I felt tired just watching the trailer.

I like how, in case the song, the T2 storm drains, the city and the LAPD wasn’t enough, they highlight LA in the title.

Would you expect anything less from Michael Bay?

Just back. It’s amazingly bad. Some amazing shots, it’s a Michael bay wankfest fever dream. A collage of scenes and styles from better films.

There might be a good (for the genre) film here but it needs a far better editor, and 45 mins shaved off the running time at a minimum.

Why they don’t shoot the tyres of the Ambulance at any point remains a mystery.

I did watch this directly after Morbius so anything would seem better by comparison, but I did quite enjoy this.

Its loud, very stupid, incoherent at times and far too long, but it's not boring just never bloody ends.

Quite why they thought a film about a vehicle being driven around LA needed to be 20 minutes longer than Speed is anyone's guess.

Watched this with my 13 year old boy last night. Not very far into the movie he made a comment that made me laugh. He said something along the lines of "Those who has made this movie must be really proud of the camera drone" and I couldn't agree more. While some of the drone shots were kinda cool there were some shots that were repeated far too many times (like the vertical drop along the outer walls of a high rise building).

Overall the movie could've been a lot better with a tighter direction and at least 30 minutes shorter. Also, the dialogue was cringe worthy throughout the entire movie.
