Saw 9

Recommended Posts

I've not watched them since 3 or 4 but there's another coming next year, with a story by Chris Rock. It'll also star Chris Rock as a police detective investigating grizzly crimes and Samuel L Jackson as his father. Also Max Minghella as Rock's partner and Marisol Nichols as their boss, a police Captain.

Saw is a strange franchise, veering from decent to bad to surprisingly decent to what the fuck are they doing.

So part nine sounds in keeping with those shifts. If anything, curious to see how a Chris Rock horror / thriller script will turn out.

As a whole series Saw is suprisingly enjoyable, I came into it fairly late and got convinced by the Mrs to watch 1-6 over one weekend. It's no masterpiece but if you treat it like you do American Horror Story it's fairly compelling.

It’s got a working title of The Organ Donor, but that doesn’t mean a lot. It’s common to have an early working title that isn’t the final title. And they have said it’s in the same world as all the others so it’s not a full reboot or anything like that.

Hang on.

Danny Glover was a cop in Saw 1. Chris Rock was a cop and Danny Glovers son in law in Lethal Weapon 4.

Clearly this is a Saw x Lethal Weapon film with Chris Rock looking for revenge for the death of Murtaugh.
