Not been on in almost a week, other things have gotten in the way, but have been playing this morning and decided today is a Bloodhound day but I'm worse now than I was even at the start of it all

did have a fist fight with a Wraith and won though so there's that.

I'm still terrible but have just managed two second place finishes in a row, mainly due to a team who revived me on more than one occasion.

I still haven't got the hang of actually killing anyone yet, more a case of not being seen for 20 minutes.

Start picking fights as soon as you get a half decent gun and armour. You'll die a lot, but get used to combat faster than hiding and watching other teams whittle each other down.

I've been trying to stick with the team, I seem to pair up with people who, like me, don't go straight in for a scrap but spend the match skulking about. I'm too used to COD, expecting a constant firefight.

I really wish this had a bot training mode where you played the game proper but could respawn quickly. The training mode is aimed at people who've never played a game before and doesn't really help much with proper gameplay, tactics or using items/weapons.

I've no idea which guns are better than others, a lot of the time I pick up the nearest I can find because it's that or nothing.

Perseverance is key so I'll stick with it, that's what Sundays are for.

You do also need to stick to the team, but be sure to get practice in for combat. If you see the chance to to get the drop on someone, get the first shot in unless your weapons are unsuitable.

Also, unrelated, these imbeciles who leave as soon as they get downed are the absolute worst.

Watch Dizzy, Shroud or any of the top players and you'll see they do not stop firing until they know the enemy is down.

This is the best advice. I kept wondering why I wasn't get many kills until I did this.

It’s interesting watching streams of Anthem after playing this. I know they're very different types of game. But I'm consistently impressed by all the smart intuitive design choices in this that show Respawn really thought about how people interact with games and what players need. The ping system being the obvious standout, but even smaller things like auto run when messing with your inventory. The UI and lots of other design choices Anthem seem to have been designed by aliens who only heard how humans interact with thing third-hand.

It's the difference between a developer which specialises in shooting games, having made one of the most influential FPSes ever and one of the most fun and imaginative modern examples... And a developer that does RPGs awkwardly married with functional third person shooters.

Still can't get over a last second choke last night. Who here is Jigsawn?

I'm at the back, only two squads left, only one small arena remaining. Their three take out my two teammates before I somehow manage to take out two of theirs. Four guys crawl around the battlefield, only two remain standing. Jigsawn pings the position of the last guy. I elect to be aggressive rather than heal, throw a smoke, flank him all ends up, unload my rifle into him as he faces the wrong way, killing his shield. Switch to my shotgun to finish him off, move in... and miss my shot, point blank. He takes me out, presumably laughing as he does so, and I end the round on zero kills.

Well, I worked out my problem. As it turns out this feels fucking awesome to me on PS4. I guess its the old Destiny skills, but sticking it on a controller has transformed it for me.

I've only won 2 rounds so far. One was a hollow victory being carried completely by a guy who took out half the server while I got 1 kill and this one...

Wooo!

This is unexpectedly brilliant.
