Any GPD Win Owners?

Recommended Posts

Ah, so cute! 6" screen apparently, if you have any sort of reference point for that length :eyebrows:I wonder how much it costs..

*spits coffee*

OK, maybe not ;-) Looks cool though, jealous.

I've had my eye on one of these.  I'm interested to hear how you get on with it.  Having my Steam library in the palm of my hand is enticing although it would be to play less demanding games only and emulators.

I've been looking at doing a few YouTube videos lately so this might be a good place to start, when it turns up I'll do a bit of an unboxing, have a play around and see what it can do and I'll post the results up here :)

The analogue placements would really fuck up my day.

They were closer to the middle on the GPD Win 1, I prefer the placement where they are on the 2 I think. Until it arrives I'm not sure how it will handle

I've got a GPD Android device and love it. This looks fantastic and if I had the pennies to spare I'd be all over it. I've heard nothing but good things about it, so have fun. :D

Apologies for the dodgy camerawork, I'm propping my phone up with my nose while I'm playing hoping it's recording something, just at work having a tinker around with this on my break,

This is the Win playing Bioshock HD Remaster at max settings, no tweaking atall and making light work of it. I'm so bloody impressed with it

I don't own that one but I recently got the GPD Pocket 2 which is more laptop based and I absolutely love it. I might try the same thing soon to test it out on streaming and then connect maybe a DS4 controller to it as an alternative.

My friend has one of these and she absolutely loves it.  Genuinely a decent spec Windows 10 PC the size of the original Nintendo DS.

AAAARGH!!! Need to hold...back...

Two questions though:

Can I plug in a DS4 controller and play games with it? I.e. is it the same experience as in a "real" PC, e.g. with DS4Windows?

And: can I connect the GPD Win 2 to a TV using an HDMI cable and play games on the big telly?

Yes to both :)

I am looking for a reason or reasons to justify buying this. This is the best I could come up with-

How is the Dreamcast emulation?

Presumably I could play Return of the Obra Dinn on this?

Dreamcast emulation from what I've tested has been flawless

And yeah would play it with ease

:)
