first time i've been out with a camera this year, 24th april

First photo opposite the tram station, the busiest shopping street in Manchester. I was stood there and a man stopped me and said 'are you alright?' while his partner stared at me with uneccessary alarm. He said; 'oh you're in your own world'. I said; 'yeah...i didn't put them there, that's why I'm taking photos of them'. He said; 'ohhh you're doing aaaarrt'.

First shot to last was 10 minutes. I remember being at a bike show and taking shots of motorbike helmets from the floor and a couple reacting to me with weird fear.

Wanted the shop even though top down is better because i didn't want them to be sat in a dark void, have to place them to a shop. Not quite central but didn't want to cut out the foot. There is 'Great Value' sign above but then there's too much shop and they're not the focus.

'i didn't put them there, that's why I'm taking photos of them' kind of sums up street photography. Objects don't mean anything, the placement is what is significant, the human story behind them. I want to know who owned them and why or how they were left there. Unless it's an art project studying how people react.
