SNES Mini

Recommended Posts

The Nintendo store is saying one per customer but I bet there are probably people using multiple accounts. However the window was so short (5 mins?) that you probably couldn't have pre-ordered that many, unless I'm missing something obvious.

As a fan of Earthbound, I'm really pleased that Nintendo now values the game so much that it not only had made it available on the Virtual Console, but also has decided to include it in the Super NES Mini (well, in the western world at least). Doesn't seem too long ago that Earthbound was a semi-forgotten obscurity that would've been buried in the past if not for the Super Smash Bros series.

Still a lot of gaffers jumping on UK stock it seems. Why aren't US distributers putting the damn thing up for pre-order? I don't understand the intention behind it.

Nintendo's coordination on this has been piss-poor.

I assume I missed out on Nintendo as it now says awaiting stock.

Should I cancel the order or leave it and hope for a second batch?

Seems to be loads of yanks buying them too, judging by NeoGaf at least. No wonder it's selling out in minutes.

NoA need to sort out their shit pronto and get the preorders rolling over the pond.

Hah, sure I've said so previously. There was always going to be an element of Americans wanting a Euro unit. But managing the release like this means they're just getting everyone bundling in. Including the vast majority who'd rather have a US one for the feels.
