Went to Belfast at the weekend and took a few shots (mainly of the hockey games, but a couple of others too)

Couple more from me....

Cracking night today, can really see all the stars... took this on the way home in the New Forest (nice and dark!)

Didn't have a tripod, so it's resting on the roof of my car pointing directly upwards, slight blurring probably due to the car vibrating from the engine ticking over.... you can *just* about make out the MIlky Way, running left to right in the image, will probably need to view on black to make it out.

and took these two when I popped out of the office towards sunset...

Bit of a test, trying to link this from my google+ page...

Taken on the train on Saturday on our way up to Canary Wharf to see the ice sculpting competition:

I can't decide which one I like best. I like the softness of the first one, but like the sunlight on the face in the second.

her expression in the first one is by far the best in my eyes. I'd be tempted to photoshop the view out of the window in the 2nd into the first though.

The second looks great as it's a little tighter, but prefer the light that you had coming through the window on the first.

That is stunning. The small amounts of colour offset against the bleakness and errieness is fantastic.

What fortune to get a sky that good.

The amount of times I've been down the coast and it's been so dull is unreal, yet looking out of the office window now and usually driving home from work I find the sky awash with colour...

Just some recent one from being out and about. Two from Bangkok-

An elephant in London. A bird flew overhead at the wrong time, didn't notice till later, ruined the nice sky.

And some power station (?) in the middle of nowhere.

As usual I'm always a little horrified by the quality once it's blown up from the phone screen...

Thats extremely well exposed for a phone picture, nice work!

Nokia N8. like all camera phones it's limited by its size but when I got it it was by far the best camera available on a phone. My winning photo from the other month was also taken on it too.

Not bad for grabbing that on a phone.... Nice rumblecat, love the elephant.

I ventured out today and some some god awful effects off my filters...

Looked like some poor souls were lost at sea, the helicopter was searching until dark :(....

Snapped this while waiting for the sun to set:

On Saturday we had an induction session to studio photography with my camera club, learning all about light placement & setup and high-key and low-key set ups. These are some of my favourites:
