Seeing as no-one else has started one...

This is the game which is gonna' end up costing me £250 or however much the Wii U is. Dammit!

Judging from the trailer this in going to have at least 3 players (was there a 4th i didn't see?)

I really enjoyed both pikmins, it does seem like they have been a little conservative with the new ideas in that trailer. I'm sure it will be good if it has co-op (2 only had competitive MP right?)

From the sound of it, it's single player with you commanding 4 separate characters so you can split up your Pikmins and use them effectively if you use the Gamepad. It all sounds a little odd, really. I'm wondering if there'll be different sets of levels for playing on Gamepad and playing on Wiimote+Nunchuck?

I'm sure the full game will have scads of cool new creatures to murderise and convert into Pikmin seeds. :)

I think there was one dungeon where the creatures had lasers, I'd like to see more of the animals fighting back aggressively, Pikmin otherwise is a senseless animal murder simulator, "hey that mindless jellyfish ate some of my useless junk...KILL IT!" :)

I still have nightmares about that time in Pikmin 2 that steamroller creature in some sort of drainpipe dungeon level ran over 100 of my pikmin before I even knew what was going on because I'd go round the corner to look at something else, and then seeing all those souls floating up to heaven when I turned round at the sound of their screams

Makes me actually want to finish the second game (Massive fan of the first, borrowed a copy of the second at uni and got fed up with the dungeons).

Wii probably works a bit better with the pointer control, as it can be quite fiddly. In Pikmin 1, don't be afraid to restart the game after you've done the first couple of levels and got the hang of how it all works - you'll be able to work much faster and create more time to finish the later levels in.

Really fancy playing now, will load it up, I hate the pikmin dying though, it makes me feel so guilty, so much so if I do really well for most of the day only to kill 10+ I won't save.

Ha same here. I came to terms with losing pikmin in 2 because some of the enemies are tough but in 1, you could do nearly everything (spider and last boss excepted) without losing any. What was worse though, was leaving one out in the field only to see it dash up to the already departing safety of the ship & onions, as merciless bulborbs closed in on it. Heartbreaking.

What I've been waiting years for! :D

I stupidly sold my copy of Pikmin 2 on the GC, and am now looking to pick it up on the Wii. Can't find a copy in decent condition though. I don't like buying of dodgy Amazon sellers, and eBay seems to specialise in scratched discs.

I'll tell you how my copy from Amazon's dodgy sellers looks. I ordered it this afternoon. :)

Not yet. But I did discover this morning that my house mate already had a copy.

What about today?! :omg:

(If you couldn't tell I would really like to get this in again!)

Haha, no. It's been dispatched, but it's being shipped to my work address so it'll prolly be there on Monday.

And it turns out my house mate's copy is on Gamecube which is no use to me as I gave mine away a while ago and can't be arsed setting his up.
