Well that sucks, I found a player with no discs just now. £5 though!

Pioneer CLD 770, built in July 1994 if the sticker on the back isn’t lying to me.

I don’t know where to start with it. It’s 240v with a 2 prong plug but I don’t have a screen with an rgb input anymore. No idea if it works either, so I’ve probably bought myself a little project.

That guy found a bunch more games:

Xbox, ps2, GameCube, and 360

will be getting those later. Hardware too, but he’s embarrassed by the state of it having been a smoker.

Also brought this home from clearing out the father in laws house

i posted it on twitter as a retro gaming challenge. What consoles will I be putting on it?

Today turned out alright in the end, 1st boot was quite middling, but after getting back and sorting that, I met the other half at an 11am start boot, we split up and as I was strolling about I spotted Panzer Dragoon Orta and JSRF for the Xbox at 10p each!!!

other half saw me and called me over to have a look through a pile of ps1 and other games, Got Wipeout, Tekken, Destruction Derby 1 & 2, plus Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Sunshine for a fiver,  that woman is fantastic and has a proper good eye for a bargain :)

Put Megadrive with MegaCD on the bottom shelf.

PS2 and some minis on the narrow middle shelf

Saturn and Dreamcast on the 3rd shelf.

Picked these two up yesterday at a charity shop.
Quake 2 for PC. Already had this on steam, but actually having the soundtrack playing make the game worth it. No big box. 50p

They had a stack of xbox games, so picked up Blur. It was any two DVDs for £1, games included. Picked up up a few DVDs at the same time.
It looks like someone just dropped off all their non-backward compatible xbox 360 games at the charity shop. I had the others so wasn't interested, but it does bring up the question...

Is the xbox 360 'offically retro' now, at least with the collection of games that didn't make it to xbox one backward compatiblity?

The non-BC games seem to be going quite cheap at the moment, people who were holding on to them with hopes of getting BC enabled getting rid maybe(?).

Alien Trilogy is a great game, I’ve got it for the Saturn and despite some people saying otherwise, I still think it’s better than Aliens v Predator!

It absolutely is a great game.  I played for HOURS with my flat mate when that came out.

I remember us making our own map on my bedroom floor - good times....

Well..... I know this lot was going to be there before arriving this morning, but seeing that many, in one place and at a car boot no doubt, was a sight to behold.

Had to fork out £20 each on them unfortunately, my top offer on Crash 1's, but they have been bought from a trader to sell on, might make "some" money out of them :P

I didn't buy them all, as there were over 300 copies of the bloody thing, and apparently another crate of them is possibly at the back of the unit, going to skint myself out at this rate :P

Excuse my ignorance but £20 each for a copy?. Was that a good rate for a near min copy of Crash at the time?.

here's the Amazon tracker camel camel camel. I've drawn an arrow pointing at the day after he bought them...

Thanks, I always overlooked Crash as I saw them everywhere when people were selling PS1 and thought it had little value because the game was so common.

It wasn’t that bad a price at the time. The issue was that the remake for PS4 was due out a month or so later, which as expected caused the price of the PS1 original to drop.

That sucks pretty hard, sort of similar but not in the same ball park. Remember when I was younger and collecting comics I bought a whole wad of X-men no 1s, Death of Superman issue 75 and batman 500 when the new Batman appeared. All in the belief that in a few years I could be sitting on golden goose. Sadly that never happened, and even to this today the prices are really low.

Yeah, slowly recouping the money, luckily it was most of the cash I'd made at VGM 3, so I hadn't taken it from the bank or anything, the company shouldered 3k of it and 2K+ was mine, split them accordingly with the company and myself.

Every time there is a £1 fvf weekend on eBay, I stick some of the double box versions up, and they slowly trickle away, I might end up losing a grand on it, maybe more, but they ARE going, just a lot slower than I had anticipated, the prices always rise around Christmas time, so at least then I am breaking even, unfortunately it's just the way it goes.

@MikeBeaver How did that big PS1 pick up go from the other week?  We're there any hidden gems and how much room do 400 ps1 games take up?

Clearing out my dad's garage and stumbled on an old CD32 controller. Was about to chuck it out when my daughter asked about it. I told what it was and she said it might be worth something. Naaaah I say, no chance and put it in the bin.

Two minutes later I'm getting it out of the bin, £50 on eBay!!

Although I have no way of testing it, to see if it works.

Yeah, they’re worth a LOT of money now (glad I bought two of them “back in the day” as they’re so much better than the standard CD32 controller!!)

Hit two boots on Sunday. Nothing worth taking home.

Saw 5 or 6 classic xboxes which I thought was unusual (one stall had 4 stacked up) and a nice condition, boxed PS3 for £40.

Better luck next time.
