Suspend/Resume - Stop your game and put the PS4 into a low power state, pick up immediately where you left off when you come back. Share - Post screenshots and video from your play sessions. It looked like you could wind back through your last ten minutes of gameplay, edit/trim it down and upload it. They did this onstage with Killzone: Shadow Fall. Video Streaming - Stream your game out live to other users on the PS4 or ustream. People watching can give you tips like "Dude Look Out!" and even take control of your game temporarily to get you past a tough section. Gakai Being Fast - The plan is to be able to select a demo and instantly begin streaming it. You'll also be able to start playing games while they download. The Games! Also PlaystationEU's twitter are pretty sure backwards compatibility is coming via their cloud service and not at all qualifying it in "eventually"s like Dave Perry did onstage. Controller stuff from Morrius / Moz: Has this stuff been posted yet? I can't see it. If it has, instead of negging me, just tell me and I'll remove the post. Some dashboard stuff from Moz: # Love it. One thing I noticed, it appears to show a user streaming picture-in-picture, showing their gameplay AND their face via the new camera at the same time. Don't think they've mentioned that yet Is it wrong that I'm most excited about hearing the startup sound for the first time?! It looks quite a lot like big picture mode too. PlayStation VR

Haven't read about this at all on here... and thought if true it deserved a thread all of its own... From Eurogamer.... PlayStation 4 VR headset finally coming at GDC - report Sony's virtual reality bet just weeks from announce. By Tom Phillips Published Friday, 21 February 2014 Sony's PlayStation 4 virtual reality headset will finally be unveiled next month at GDC 2014, a new report suggests. TechRadar reports that the anticipated VR device will be formally announced at the San Francisco conference next month, which begins 17th March. Like the Oculus Rift headset, the virtual reality visor will wrap a pair of screens onto the wearer's head. But, unlike Oculus, Sony is expected to have perfected the technology to a degree that multiple versions of the hardware won't need to be released. "Sony has deliberately taken its time to tweak and polish the headset before revealing it," a source said. "People will definitely be impressed with what Sony's built." Eurogamer broke news of the headset last September, when we learnt that it had originally been destined for a reveal at Gamescom 2013. Its unveiling there was pulled, and its appearance delayed into 2014 - a moment that now sounds on the horizon. When quizzed about the device last year, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida simply said: "We don't talk about that."

September 14 - http://www.hardcoregamer.com/2014/09/06/dragon-quest-producers-talk-nintendo-mobile-whats-next-for-series/102483/ [Miyake] "Were pretty sure that Dragon Quest XI will see some sort of western release. We would have loved to have released X as well, but in that case because its an MMO the operation part of it is very difficult to manage between regions. But yes, were hoping XI will be available in the western regions." July 15 - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-07-28-dragon-quest-11-is-coming-to-3ds-and-playstation-4-and-the-nx We don't have a concrete plan at the moment," it reads. "However, we will consider it as we've done in the past for other Dragon Quest titles. We don't have further information to share at the moment."

  7. Well looks like we will be getting another instalment of Gran Turismo this year (hopefully)! Couldn't find another thread on this ( did a quick search though so feel free to merge!) so thought I might start one... One of the shortcomings of GT series over the years is the sound however its looking good this time as focus seems to have been put into this! http://uk.ign.com/articles/2017/06/28/gran-turismo-sport-creator-kazunori-yamauchi-talks-sound-steering-wheels-and-shifting-gears-ign-first Sounding very impressive....

    Red Dead Redemption 2

Looks like an announcement about a sequel to Red Dead Redemption is hopefully, just days away now.
  9. Seems like the seminal rhythm based action game that debuted on the PS2 way back in 2004 is getting a PS4/Switch release as well. In Japan at least. But as the Switch is region-free, we finally get the opportunity to join in the drum beating madness once again! Namco Bandai are actually releasing the game in the West as well!! Sugoooooiii!!! Gameplay sees symbols moving horizontally along a timeline showing what to hit and when. Most home versions distinguish single and double strikes, while arcade versions distinguish between hard and soft strikes. A drum simulating the taiko is played in time with music. Successful play builds up a life meter. If the meter is past a certain point by the end of the song, the song is passed. Despite the game's appearance, players may find the game challenging to master. Players need to accomplish at least a 65% clearance of a song which is determined by the 'tamashi gauge' to pass, and can become challenging on harder difficulties as players progress. Debut trailer: Latest English teaser trailer: Will be released in Europe for both the PS4 and Switch later this Autumn...

Official patch notes: https://www.nomanssky.com/next-update/ Trailer NEXT is the latest, free update to No Man's Sky. This builds upon the three previous updates: Foundation, Path Finder, and Atlas Rising. The major additions with NEXT are: Here's a NEXT preview by Eurogamer. Other notable new features: Resources for New and Returning Players How do I...? Rocket jump: Tap melee and jetpack in quick succession and you'll perform a boosted rocket jump that moves you a fair amount forward. Bear in mind that this causes life support to drop quicker than usual (as does any use of jetpack), for a split second, which is critical if you're playing Permadeath or Survival mode. Toggle first person/3rd person view: press down on the d-pad and scroll left or right until you come to the camera options. Note: there are separate toggles for flight and while on foot. If you toggled 3rd person while walking, you'll have to do it again while flying if you want 3rd person for both. Get a freighter: given this is kinda part of normal progression, I'll put it in a spoiler. It's not really a spoiler, per se Get nanites: Call up your scanner while on foot and scan flora and fauna. Go to the Discoveries tab in Options (PS4 pad) and upload the discovery to get nanites. Nanites no longer take up inventory space, and it's much easier to get them. Yoku's Island Express

This game came out recently across all platforms and is incredible. It mixes genres really well and is a: Metroidvania, Platforming game with pinball mechanics. The art style is lovely and the music is joyful. Despite being fairly short, it has fantastic pacing. Check out videos below then go ahead and buy it. It is already one of the games of the year in my opinion. Buy it Xbox Playstation PC Switch
