  1. It seems there is not much discussion here about iPhone games so in a similar style to the PS3 owners thread, we find ourselves reading one right now. With the exception of Rolando and Bejeweled 2 the game I've played most on mine is Cube Runner. This is not only free but perfectly suits the 'few minutes spare' situation that presents itself so often. Basically you just tilt the phone to move your ship, get high scores and avoid shit. Simple graphics and gameplay, great game.
  2. The Black Desert mobile game is out now and is surprisingly fun. It's similar but definitely not the same game as the original. More streamlined but with a lot of similar basics. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pearlabyss.blackdesertm.gl https://apps.apple.com/us/app/black-desert-mobile/id1477186880 I'm playing on the EU Balenos server. Family name Worldwalker.

  5. The basics of The Snack World TreJarers are to find rare items slumbering deep inside dungeons. The main game cycle is going back and forth between the base and dungeons to proceed through the game. You prepare equipment and items at the base before going to a dungeon. Then at the dungeon, you’ll try to find rare items slumbering deep within. Featured in The Snack World are random dungeons where the layout changes each time the player enters. The type of dungeons vary, including a rocky area, forest, and temple. Scary bosses lie deep inside the dungeons such as the Kraken. Other charming monsters are introduced, which are Buttery, Scorpion, Yeti, Mermaid, Penguin Knight, Mimic, Merman and Clone. Selecting Jara, which is the term for weapon here, is very important. Different Jaras should be prepared to be ready for a variety of monsters which have different affinities against Jaras. Jaras and Snacks can be scanned which will give benefits. Jaras are very important items in The Snack World. They are normally miniaturized while being carried, but can be increased in size during attacks. Snacks are crystal plates that contain sealed monsters and characters. A limited Jara: Crystal Sword Alpha will be available in limited amounts of early game copies. Up to six Jara items can be carried at once. The Jaras can also be freely assembled. Snacks allows summoning of monsters and characters, so you should collect them to go on an adventure with yout favorite characters. Benefits of scanning a Jara toy include activating unique skills that will aid in quests, obtaining items that strengthen weapons, and unlocking special quests. Meanwhile, by scanning Snacks, you can obtain Chap’s bandanna and unlock quests related to Piggy. Each piece of the Jara equipment is grouped under brand names. The currently known ones are: Fairy Electronics, Clanarine, Britannia Enchant and Peffany. Players can enjoy their own way of collecting branded items, whether focusing on their favorite brands or combining from various brands. Announcement trailer: Nintendo Direct (Japanese) debut trailer: >> Official Japanese website. The Snack World is Level-5's latest multimedia franchise, following the likes of Inazuma Eleven, Little Battlers eXperience and Yo-kai Watch. The franchise is a "hyper casual fantasy" that is set in the Snack World, a traditional fantasy world combined with convenience stores, smartphones, and other elements of the modern world. It revolves around the adventures of Chup, a wandering hero, who is determined to get revenge against Large-Scale Leisure Facilities after it destroyed his village in response to the villagers refusing to allow eviction of the village by the former. Madly in love with King Majesty[a]'s daughter, Princess Melora, he fulfills her selfish wishes by going on quests, accompanied by an inelegant witch, Mayone; a muscular warrior, Pepperon; a goblin-like creature, Gob-san; and a female pig-nosed dragon, Francene Level-5 first announced The Snack World TreJarers back in 2015. A Japanese release is set for this Summer. A Western release has also been confirmed

    Clash Royale

iOS https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1053012308?mt=8 Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.supercell.clashroyale So I realise that these kind of games are the antithesis of rllmuk but the new game from Boom Beach and Clash of Clans devs (Supercell) came out of soft launch yesterday, called Clash Royale. Yes its fremium and yes I suspect you can buy your way to glory but the basic game seems very open and keeps the irritation of timers and cool downs to a minimum, you can seemingly keep playing as long as you want for free, with a constant stream of 'stuff' coming your way. Game itself is a nice mix of a deck builder style card game, which you then take into single screen arenas and pit against your online enemy in nicely played out battles - the aim being to take out their 3 castles before you lose yours. It looks a very well crafted realtime accesible strategy game and the battles last a max of only a few mins. I read about these guys in Wired, they are creaming in the cash but have an interesting approach to ftp - they claim IAPs should never be driven to remove frustration in the player, but to provide fun or joy. I'm not usually into these things, their previous 2 games passed me by, but I'm giving this one a good crack and enjoying it, the lack of timers as such means its perfect pick up and play fodder for those moments in the work loo, bus, train etc Clan Info rllmuk (50/50) - currently full, I will post when space is available. ugvm (30/50) - open membership Da Clan #20VGJJP (4/50) - open membership
  7. Thought I would create a not just iOS centric thread. Today Splendor on iOS and android has been updated with online multiplayer. Haven't bought a copy either physically or digitally yet, but do hope the digital version has local wifi play like the excellent Ticket to Ride.

  9. So there's a news story doing the rounds today that Apple are considering a games subscription service, but details are light to say the least. Is it a true Netflix for games with a large list of available titles? Is it like the humble monthly with a small curated list? Is it their own game streaming service? Will free-to-play titles also be integrated somehow? Is it iOS only or also Mac? They''re all referencing this story as the original source: https://cheddar.com/videos/apple-plans-gaming-subscription-service-sources
  10. I thought I'd start up a thread for this one since I've started playing. I tried it when it first launched in preview but didn't get into it. It's improved a lot since then. Basically it's a cross between Puzzle Quest and Puzzle & Dragons. Standard Puzzle Quest match 3 gameplay but you collect Marvel characters to do the fighting. Each of which has different attacks and skills to level up. Timer based but timers are the health of your characters rather then a single block of energy meaning there are easy ways to maximise gameplay once you get enough characters. I haven't played it much yet but you use comic book covers to increase your characters skills and ISO-8 to level them up. These days I'm told you should really only use you coins (IAP) to increase the amount of comic covers you can store. Like Puzzle & Dragons this has very good daily rewards but I think you have to play a game before you get them. If you're in a hurry I'd suggest level 1-1 for speed Unlike Puzzle & Dragons it does cloud saves via Facebook so you can switch devices easily. Anyone else playing?

    Her Story

Her Story is out on Wednesday. I remember seeing the trailer for this ages ago, it has a person (Edit: Sam Barlow) from Silent Hill: Shattered Memories involved and it looks genuinely amazing. The reviews so far have been tremendous, here's one: http://www.pcgamer.com/her-story-review/ And here are some twitter people talking about it I'm trying not to read too much about it but it's going to be like £5 pounds on Steam and I cannot wait to play it. http://store.steampowered.com/app/368370/
  12. So this is why they trademarked "HD-2D". It's a new Octopath Traveler for smartphones. Indicated to be a single player RPG, so this might mean no MTX. Not counting on it though. Still, looks like more Octopath, which is good in theory.
  13. Is this...a clicker? As one whom is usually easily addicted to clickers in recent years, I approve! Let's go make some Crrrrazzzy money!

    Best CCG on iOS?

I fancy playing a card game on my iPad. I'm not a huge fan of hearthstone (It's fine but I fell off WoW hard) and I'm quite liking what I've played of Elder Scrolls Legends. What do people recommend? Are there any good Yu-gi-oh games? Anything more obscure I might not have heard of?

  16. EDIT by Stu Rllmuk Players (in the format of Rllmuk Name - Game Name - Player ID) Legion Name = Boogie Knights of the Old Republic Rev - Dash Rendar - 927-716-723 ZOK - ZOK - 794-627-481 TehStu - TehStu - 783-701-329 Lucas - shakey dog - 262-303-176 Jammy - Jammy - 102-222-626 Blunted - Blunted - 261-929-422 And - Porkins - 467-960-885 Paddyo - Paddyo - 977-709-538 (new!) To add rllmuk folks as an Ally, add one of the Player IDs above. That person will need to have spare ally slots, so post here if they're full) --------- end Stu edit I'm not entirely sure how best to describe this. It's a F2P collectable "card game" with IAP that you click things a lot and then watch some cards march up a screen and lightsabre other cards in the face. It's mindless and will annoy the living piss out of most people. But Zok and I like it which automatically makes it an Edge 6. Zok's too chicken to make a thread but I'm crazy like a fox baby. The UI is a mess. The graphics are borderline appalling but it fills that need in me to click things while I'm at work. I suspect Broker will hate it but that's cool. People are different yo. CLICK FOR VICTORY Thunderpants McGee!!
  17. It's quite a bit better than the clicker, I'll give it that. Shame that unlike the clicker it has no new music mixes though. Life could do with all the Katamari it can get. I approve.

  19. http://www.ingress.com/ So anyone playing Google's ARG? Got my invite a few days ago and it's rather good fun.Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nianticproject.ingress iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/nl/app/ingress/id576505181?mt=8 You secure Portals by planting Resonators at locations and use them to create fields by linking up three of the secured Portals earning you a score for either the Resistance or the Enlightened. That's what you do in short. I've written a bit more about it here.
  20. Is anyone else playing this? It's a surprisingly fun and well made game. Real time battler where you use cards to summon units. Starts off as Cowboys and Indians but eventually opens up into more genres.
  21. Bit of an odd one this. A full and complete F2P mmo that looks really nice, is insanely complicated and packed with systems, has plenty of f2p bullshit but is surprisingly kind on your time. http://l2.netmarble.com/en It's a mmo with full controls. Played isometric. You run around and hit things with your weapon and powers doing basic fetch and kill quests for idiots following a terrible plot. You have full control of your character and indeed that's the most efficient way to play. However. If you want to treat it as a more hands off experience you can set the game to auto quest. You need to interact to kick off quests and collect rewards but otherwise your character will head off and kill orcs all by themselves. They can be even set to grind mobs in a specific area if that's your fetish. Over the levels I've played so far (15) it's introduced me to many, many systems, daily dungeons, tower of insolence, forging, runes and god knows what else. Playing in auto mode it's surprisingly mellow. There's 269 levels so I'm guessing the wall will come at some point but for now it's a nice free distractions.
  22. Anyone playing this? F2P card / capture point battler. It's actually really good & doesn't force you to buy cards all the time. If anyone is playing, I've set up a clan, you get extra bonuses etc. Search for Rllmuk if you're on it.
  23. The latest game from Nimblebit (Tiny Tower, Pocket Frogs) is really very good. It's a letter based vs word battle to take over you opponents castle.
