  1. I know there are at least a few posters on here who have read Patrick Rothfuss's Kingkiller Chronicles "trilogy". It was announced quite a while back that his works would be adapted for TV and into movies, possibly other media (games, stage etc). Now it's been announced that Lin-Manuel Miranda will take up the mantle of creative producer on the movie and tv adaptations, with the option to create a stage adaptation as well some time in the future. I'm quite excited for this although I think I'll have to reread the books, I realized the other day that I've forgotten a lot of what happens.
  2. Storyline Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne star in "Carnival Row," a Victorian fantasy world filled with mythological immigrant creatures whose rich homelands were invaded by the empires of man. This growing immigrant population struggles to coexist with humans in the grimiest section of the city -- forbidden to live, love, or fly with freedom. But even in darkness, hope lives, as a human detective, Rycroft Philostrate, and a refugee faerie named Vignette Stonemoss rekindle a dangerous affair despite an increasingly intolerant society. Vignette harbors a secret that endangers Philo's standing during his most important case yet: a string of gruesome murders threatening the uneasy peace of the Row. As Philo investigates, he reveals a monster no one could imagine. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489974/
  3. Sky are developing either TV movies or a series based on The Dark is Rising fantasy books. Likely late 2017 before we see it though. That would make it 10 years since a previous movie adaptation which didn't go at all well. Word is they think it would be good Christmas TV fodder.
  4. Hello rllmuk Gamers! Dani here, from R2Games. I wanted to let you guys know about our newest game, League of Angels, and the Committee has been kind enough to let me spread the word here. It’s a turn-based fantasy MMORPG/strategy game in which players embark on engaging quests, compete in massive PvP battles, and conquer challenging events and minigames – all with the aid of the mighty Angels. To celebrate the launch we’ve teamed up with great cosplayers to represent the Angels. Maridah did a beautiful job with her portrayal of Loralei, and more are soon to come! If you’d like to receive exclusive cosplay photos (and free gift codes!), just sign up to our League of Angels newsletter. To check out the game go to loa.r2games.com, and let me know what you think
