  6. I haven't seen this mentioned on here - It apparently releases to early access today. It intrigues me.
  7. Releases today on PC Game Pass. I dip into this sub-genre infrequently, but i'm intrigued. Seems to have some nice quirks, like large volumes of enemies and some other stuff. We'll see later on, but anyone else keen to try it out?
  8. I spent the weekend playing the backside out of the rather wonderful space building sandbox game Astroneer (Check it out free on PC and XBox Gamepass or on PS4). This was so much fun that I fancied something more meaty and much more nerdy. So I started searching and came up with Space Engineers. It seems to be basically Astroneer with a far more realistic and complex style. So far all I've done is drop in my pod onto an earthlike planet, mine some stone and convert it into materials. I need to watch a beginners guide stat but already I can feel the same urge to dive in that consumed me this weekend with Astroneer Also online so you can play with chums

  10. Full game is out now: https://playvalorant.com/en-gb/ Riot, the developers of League of Legends, have made a new competitive FPS. It's basically a Counterstrike cake with MOBA icing; quite a few of the dev team are ex-Counterstrike pro players. In a nutshell, the structure of the main game mode is: 5v5 24 rounds, first to 13 wins (sudden death if you get to 12:12) Teams take turns to attack/defend bombsites, switching at halftime You buy guns and armour at the start of each round, and carry them over to the next round if you don't die There are 10 different characters who each have 3 unique abilities and an ultimate. All the characters have the same movement speed and buy guns from the same pool. One ability is available to use unlimited times, but on a cooldown. You buy charges for the other two abilities at the start of each round (like buying grenades/smokes in CS) Your ultimate needs 8 charges to be available, which you get from kills and from Ultimate Points which you can capture around the map. There's also a shorter 4-round game mode called Spike Rush in which you buy guns via pickups around the map, and spawn with a different gun each round (a bit like Gun Game in CS:GO). rllmuk online thread here Here's some ex-CSGO pros playing it fairly tactically - it's really interesting to see how the abilities factor in; different characters are better at defending certain bombsites, for example: Here are the same CSGO pros getting absolutely stomped by the dev team, showing off how clever combination of abilities is just as important as sick aim:
  11. It's that t- - wait, that's my line. Anyway, this months bundle includes Etherborn Lightmatter Turok Kathy Rain Earthlock Details are at https://twitch.amazon.com/tp Install instructions:
  12. The original Automobilista was released in 2016 and is one of the most highly regarded driving sims ever released. The new game has just released into a short early access phase on Steam at a discounted price of £24.99. As a side note, it's only come out in early access due to the Covid-19 crisis, which has affected their ability to get everything finished on time and the main release will be 1 or 2 months from now. There is a crazy expensive season pass (£71.99!!), but you can ignore that as the game is pretty much feature complete and contains a crazy amount of content already. It's primarily based on the Brazilian racing scene, where the developers Reiza are based, but the new game contains content from all sorts of international racing disciplines. It's got racing trucks! Cars (and Trucks!): Tracks: Here's a link to the Reiza forum post for current content, as the image is hard to read here: https://forum.reizastudios.com/threads/automobilista-2-all-cars-and-tracks-currently-in-the-game-beta3.8704/ And this is just what's available now, there's more to be added during early access. The game is based on the same engine as Project Cars 2, so has all the same great weather/time-of-day features, but has been hugely tweaked by the devs and already has excellent force feedback/AI etc and is fully VR compatible too. I'm very impressed with it so far, driving the 90s F1 car at Suzuka felt pretty special for example. Anyone else interested or getting it?

  14. HOT NEWS: Don't have a clue what you're doing? Neither do we, but we found some links from some people who do! Check the hyperlinks in the resources section! We have a Discord for our Ship 2 alliance, courtesy of @Terria and @Willei! Join us for voice chat on PC, as well as discussion and alerts on Emergency quests! https://discord.gg/aX7F9Ka Hi! PSO2's just about to launch Open Beta on X-Box One on PC on May 27th, so I'm opening this up. We never decided on a Server/Ship to play on, so I propose that we on RLLMUK play on Ship 2. As someone who played the JP version, that's where all the western folk played, and old habits die hard. I'll be back with more information, and share a couple of 'getting started' videos from certain Youtubers - but for now, please chew on this mountain of text: Questions and Answers: Resources (WARNING: Spoilered content is potentially out of sync with NA Servers, due to differences in activities and rewards): Making the most of PSO2's F2P model, by RellCesev on Reddit If you're overwhelmed or lost, try reading this - by RellCesev on Reddit PSO2 Builds Compilation (Current NA Version - look into these builds when you have decided how you'd like to play the game!) PSO2 Builds Compilation (Current JP Version - warning, based on classes we don't have yet!) PSO2 Passive Skill Simulator Looking forward to hearing from everyone else playing - If it's popular enough, we can have a Team Room that looks like Pioneer 2 from the original PSO!
  15. Bought this on a whim after seeing a video for it on the Switch news channel - I’m playing it on Switch. I don’t know what’s going on but holy shit does it look good. Few frame drops here and there but pretty pin sharp in handheld otherwise. It’s an arena fighter, a bit like Power Stone or Kill La Kill If (the latter I also had on switch but this is a lot better and has bags more content). In style terms and with the bonkers Japanese voices it’s like an arena version of Dragonball Fighterz. I don’t have any experience with the Manga/Anime it’s based on - My Hero Acadamia - but I like the style. I’ll have to play a lot more to see what sort of depth is there but having a blast right now.
  16. I am suggesting that we start a new thread on Modern Warfare's Warzone - the new Battle Royale mode that launches today. Since the mode is free to play, cross platform and the lifecycle will seemingly go way beyond the main game, I think it makes sense. IMO, this is looking mighty tasty. I have watched a lot of in-depth videos last night and this morning and I haven't been this hyped for a BR in a while. Here's a few that showcase a lot of details on how the main mode works, what you can buy for in-game cash, etc. We're also going to find out about another mode called Plunder later today. HYYYYYYPED!!!

  18. https://uk.ign.com/articles/samurai-jack-video-game-announced-for-pc-ps4-xbox-and-switch http://www.adultswim.com/games/samurai-jack http://soleilgamestudios.com/EN/games/20001/ Developed by Soleil Game Studios, whose CEO Yoshifuru Okamoto worked as a producer on Ninja Gaiden II and Devil's Third. The IGN article suggests that others in the development team worked on Ninja Gaiden and DOA too. Here's the trailer; watch to the end to hear Greg Baldwin's Aku saying "Rated T for Teen"! Unfortunately, although some of the graphics look like they do a good job of translating the caroon's geometric style into 3D (e.g. those spiky tree trunks and pastel leaf blobs in the background at 0:14), they haven't gone for a borderless, flat cel-shaded style that would have matched the cartoon. Also, so far there's not enough robot oil blood splattering on display for my liking! Looks like the game will cover events from the original series run, as well as season 5's Bearded, Machine-Gunning Biker Jack. This means we'll be able to fight at least two of the seven Daughters of Aku, who gave us one of the best animated fight sequences I've ever seen. And yes, the Scotsman will be in it, which is good news because season 5 didn't give us enough of him! The alligator robot from this shot is from the episode where he first turned up: From IGN:
  19. this seems up a lot of our streets, doing drift turns and so on.
  20. This has apparently been in early access for a while but goes 1.0 with a massive content update and character wipe tomorrow. Also a price increase https://store.steampowered.com/app/424370/Wolcen_Lords_of_Mayhem/ I just played a little bit of it and it seems solid, polished and fun. I'm looking forward to the launch tomorrow. Some footage I found of someone playing in co-op

Just encountered this on Eurogamer and I think it looks like a great piece of design. It's tidy looking but has that air of AA, so not dripping with lavish production values but neither was their previous game Sang-Froid. I never played it myself but it was very well received generally and this looks to be just as well thought through and implemented. Developer website
  25. https://www.laptopmag.com/news/alienware-concept-ufo https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2020/1/6/21048262/alienware-concept-ufo-prototype-gaming-pc-nintendo-switch-ces-2020 It's HUGE! I kinda want, but needs the typical Alienware design softened up a bit. It's also hilarious how much of a complete Switch rip off it is.
