  1. “The devs have taken the best of the deckbuilding and roguelike genres to craft an immensely deep, frustrating, and gratifying experience. Slay the Spire is a perfect example of “easy to learn, hard to master”.” 10/10 – goombastomp “Slay The Spire made me fall in love with deck-building” Rock Paper Shotgun “Slay the Spire is the Roguelike Card Game I Never Knew I Wanted” Waypoint ABOUT MEDIA I've seen this game pop up quite a lot recently and I can see why, I'm about 6 hours in and completely hooked! The only card game I've ever really given the light

    Fall Guys

So, Fall Guys has a release date - the 4th August. I have absolutely no idea if this will be any good or not, but a lot about it appeals to me. It's bright, colourful - looks as though it's got questionable physics and doesn't really require any sort of skill outside of persistence so it's not something that I'm going to be automatically terrible at as I close on my 40th year. ... it basically seems to be some sort of obstacle course game for 60 people based loosely on those questionably safe Japanese game shows where you need to cross a bridge while they fire a sa
  4. Forget next-gen, this has to be the trailer of the year. Oh, and it's a really good game too, if the first reviews are any indication. https://www.destructoid.com/review-huntdown-590605.phtml
  5. Microsoft's Reward scheme. It's alright. In about 15 months I've made just over £240 from it and I've not been doing it religiously. It's not the gravy train it once was, but it's still a simple way to get Xbox credit in return for a good use of your time while sitting on the toilet, a tenner a month or so is easy enough to attain. Interested? Of course you are! Go here https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/rewards sign up using the MS login you use for your Xbox, follow the instructions. Click on everything available for points under https://account.microsoft.com/rewards/ and also do th
  6. Colour me excited for this. We know that Remedy tends to keep elements from earlier games around in later ones and this gives off a very Quantum Break vibe to me:
  7. Steam early access available now... Here's the blurb and here's a video... First and foremost, we’re building a FUN racing game with PERSONALITY. It’s all about the stuff that really matters: varied tracks, cool cars, and the defining once-in-the-lifetime moments that can be achieved only with true-to-life physics simulation. If you’re familiar with the original FlatOut experience, you already know what we’re aiming at: exhilarating racing action with sophisticated physics and damage modeling, only this time we’re upping the ante on almost every front. This is the game we envisioned way
  8. Champion Edition is out now: It's £25 and includes all characters released as of 14th February 2020 as well as the majority* of the game's cosmetic DLC. This version launches alongside returning Street Fighter IV boss character Seth. Original post: Street Fighter V! Exclusive to PS4 and PC with cross-platform play using Capcom Fighters Netwo
  9. This is Rhythm Doctor: For those who can’t watch YouTube videos: “Rhythm Doctor is a one-button rhythm game where you save patients by hitting your button on the 7th beat. Every patient has a unique rhythmic ailment and their own storylines.” The video also explains the two-player mode and the concept of boss levels. The dev linked me to a “preorder demo” a while ago after I sent a donation (because I had played the browser demo so much and wanted to give back) and to me it feels like a Rhythm Paradise minigame that never existed, and one that has been iter
  10. Most important bit currently: Switch version out on August 7, 2018! Should leave you with enough time to complete Hollow Knight. Free DLC added! First paid DLC batch added! Ooo, another free update! The second paid DLC includes Castlevaniaesque floaty sword!

  12. It's a coming! Without the limitations of Flash I think it'll be amazing! Looks like they had fun making the teaser.
  13. Shameless rip off, spiritual sequel or adoring love letter to a bygone era? Who cares! It's a new 2D, top-down Harvest Moon in all but name, made by one guy over four years, with utterly lovely art and tilesets, a wonderful, extensive soundtrack, loads of NPCs with a seemingly large database of dialogue, all the HM gameplay stapes we've come to expect (farming, fishing, cooking, wooing) and all sorts of new elements thrown in for good measure (dungeon crawling, levelling, mining, weapons and armour, decorating, collecting and goodness knows what else). Behold my paltry
