    Top Gear

End of an era indeed. I can't imagine Chris Evans ever putting penis alloys on whatever car he might drive.

    Top Gear

For those that don't follow JC on twitter, looks like hes back on the TG test track if I'm not mistaken That golden covered table really reminds me of those episodes when they had a blank star in a reasonably priced car leaderboard so they had to bring loads of 'stars' together for an afternoon to fill it in. Basically was a license for hammond to prat around more than usual. I really hope I'm wrong.

    Doctor Who

The first thing that came into my mind when trying to review this episode was when capaldi takes a drink from the coffee cup and goes, "Mmm!"; was that a pulp fiction Mr Wolf reference?

    Doctor Who

This is pretty much exactly how I felt. It felt a little like a Russell t Davies directed episode, where it looked a lot more cartoony and less like the Matt smith ones which looked way better in terms of the set and lighting; I can't really describe it but if you watch even a minute of a Martha jones and tennant clip and then a Gillan and Smith clip the latter feels a lot more cinematic? Will be interested to see how Capaldi interacts with the daleks next episode but all I remember was after the eleventh hour and even DT's opening episode I was immediately sold as them being the Doctor. It's a real shame I can't really same the for PC.
  5. I've spoilered this but not really sure why I've done so. Maybe don't look if you want to be frightened when you see the Mountain:
  6. I saw this before I saw the episode: I'm glad to say they aren't proper friends of mine.

The RZA discs have been on all day for me - big thanks for these!

Somewhat off topic, but what kind of stuff is that Alicia Myers track that they've used in terms of genre? I always find myself discovering old soul(?)/motown(?) songs from hip hop, but i'd love to find more of this kinda of music from not just hearing them on samples.
  9. Big up OP for introducing me to that album. It's immense. For me its Camera Obscura's Lets Get Out Of This Country. The leads voice is the most soothing shit ever. And this from their newest album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUbfk8WGWkc With the vocals, the song just mushes together beautifully

    Mayer Hawthorne

For me his albums always hugely disappoint. The first/opening songs are always incredible, like back seat lover and get to know you on 'how do you do' few years back, but then the rest of the album never really lives up to that. I'll give it another listen, but i seem to find he has a couple of great songs, and i find myself wishing that the rest of the album was more like that.

    Top Gear

I haven't laughed that hard at top gear in a while when they drove straight into the water at attempt #1 and water filled up the cabin, and then you just saw that nutri grain wrapper floating around Also, that blondes midriff in the Hugh jackman interview.

Apologies for forgetting who it actually was, but +1 for the dude who recommended Run The Jewels. Been trying to like the new Jay album, and been listening mostly to Yeezus, but man, it was a long time ago since an album blew my mind like that. The beats on the actual song run the jewels. Fuuuck! Been walking round London with my screwface on all day 8) Absolutely blows MCHG out of the water

    John Frusciante

Frusciante is SUCH a boss. I used to idolise the man 5 or so years ago when I was playing guitar regularly. These two remain one of my favourite things ever Man both still send chills down my spine to this day.

    Football Kits 13/14

^ I think the new kit looks fantastic, will certainly try and pick one up. The numbers are navy blue as well, but I think it looks great. Screengrab from the Nike Rooney England ad.
  15. I saw this last night. Having read nothing about it and only seen the first trailer a while back I was surprised to come in here and see it being slated. I thought it was pretty good, on par with the first one I'd say and much better than the second.
