Resident Evil 3 Remake(PS4) - After playing RE2Remake late last year I have been looking forward to this game for a while and it didn’t disappoint, it felt like a third story as part of RE2 to go along Claire and Leon’s stories. The game play felt more action packed this time around which was mostly down to the encounters with Nemesis, all in all I really enjoyed my first play though and have immediately started it again on hardcore with my only negatives being it was to short(7 hrs on my first play through) and a little less polished than RE2. 8/10

Spider-Man(PS4) 9/10 13. Crash Bandicoot(PS4) - I didn’t think I would complete this game let alone enjoy it like I did, only a couple of levels really frustrated me other than that I liked it and will be playing the sequels at some point 7.5/10
  3. No but I had no issues playing on normal on Doom(2016), I may come back to it at some point and try again on easier difficulty but for now I’m going to move on.
  4. Halfway through the 3rd level and I’m done as it’s frustratingly difficult, every time I battle more than a few enemies I’m dying over and over again. I felt like Doom(2016) had the difficulty curve just right where it was tough near the end of the game but I never felt frustrated when I died however this has annoyed me more than any game I have played in the last few years. Not worth it as I have a big backlog that needs playing and Resident Evil 3 Remake out next week.
  5. Just finished second level and I’m struggling with the difficulty of the game, it’s much harder than Doom(2016). If it continues to ramp up the difficulty I doubt I’ll have patience to continue which is a shame as I loved Doom(2016).
  6. Just got around to starting Doom Eternal on PS4 and noticed there is no way to start the game without creating a Bethesda account if connected to internet, pretty crappy thing to do. I will play the game without connecting to internet and sell as soon as I have completed the single player campaign.

Spider-Man(PS4) - My first platinum of the year and I loved every minute of it. I enjoyed everything from the story(enjoy all things superhero) to the gameplay and I didn’t find finishing off all the side tasks to much of a grind. I’ll make sure I go back and play the DLC at some point later in year and if I haven’t brought a PS5 by the time the sequel gets released I will definitely getting one when it does. 9/10

Peggle 2(PS4) - Finished campaign on main game and dlc, only took me around 8 hours. Good mindless fun, might go back and get the platinum at some point. Overall nothing spectacular but a solid time waster. 7/10

Doom 2016(PS4) - I had an absolute blast playing this game and is one of my favourite games I have played this year, I tried it on Switch last year and fell off it pretty quick but gave it another go and I’m glad I did. I found it tough in places but never felt unfair, gunplay was satisfying and movement was great. Will replay again at some point in the future and very much looking forward to the 20th to play through the sequel. 9/10
  10. Did it yesterday very much looking forward to playing it.
  11. Started Doom(2016) on my Pro this evening and I couldn’t believe how loud the fans got, in comparison the console didn’t make a peep playing Sleeping Dogs and Catherine. It was really off putting and made my stop playing the game. I think it’s something Sony needs to learn from Microsoft as a quiet well designed system goes a long way in my opinion and if it wasn’t for the amazing exclusive line up the PS4 has then I would have stuck with my Xbox One X rather than switching to a Pro at the beginning of the year.

New Super Lucky’s Tale(Switch) 7/10 7. Catherine: Full Body(PS4) 8.5/10 8. Untitled Goose Game(Switch) 6/10 9. Sleeping Dogs(PS4) - I love this game so much so that even though I have platiumed the PS3 version of the game I wanted to play the game to completion again on PS4, it is as fun as I remember it and there has been a long enough time that I didn't remember much of the story, a GTA clone based in Hong Kong that takes around 20hrs to complete the story and 30hrs to complete everything in the game which I prefer to other open world games as it didn't feel like it out stayed its welcome. The only negatives were there are frame rate issues on a PS4 Pro and I noticed a lot more bugs in this version that I remember there being in the PS3 version. All in all I would highly recommend especially as it is only £3.99 on PSN at the moment. 9/10
  13. 1. Resident Evil 7(XB1) 8/10 2. Batman Arkham Asylum(XB1) 7.5/10 3. Halo: CE Anniversary(XB1) 5/10 4. Life is Strange(XB1) 8/10 5. Luigi Mansion 3(Switch) 8/10 6. New Super Lucky’s Tale(Switch) 7/10 7. Catherine: Full Body(PS4) 8.5/10 8. Untitled Goose Game(Switch) - Might get some down votes for this but I really wasn't keen on this, the art style and the humour definitely were the highlights for me but I felt like I just wanted it to be over once the novelty has worn off, its not a bad game by any means and for what it is I can understand the appeal but I don't really get the hype surrounding the game. Glad I played it to say I have but I wont look back over my 2-3hrs with the game with to much fondness. 6/10
  14. 1. Resident Evil 7(XB1) 8/10 2. Batman Arkham Asylum(XB1) 7.5/10 3. Halo: CE Anniversary(XB1) 5/10 4. Life is Strange(XB1) 8/10 5. Luigi Mansion 3(Switch) 8/10 6. New Super Lucky’s Tale(Switch) 7/10 7. Catherine: Full Body(PS4) - Played through the game on easy, took around 10hr 30 mins. Really enjoyed the game, especially the puzzle gameplay, story and art style. Going to replay it on normal and get a different ending in a month or two when I finished some other games on my list 8.5/10
  15. 1. Resident Evil 7(XB1) 8/10 2. Batman Arkham Asylum(XB1) 7.5/10 3. Halo: CE Anniversary(XB1) 5/10 4. Life is Strange(XB1) 8/10 5. Luigi Mansion 3(Switch) 8/10 6. New Super Lucky’s Tale(Switch) - Overall a solid platformer that took me roughly 10hrs to complete, mostly played whilst watching YouTube so didn’t take much notice of the story, not a very challenging game but still kept me playing with its varied levels. I will finish the world that opens after the credits and collect the last couple of missing pages before putting it down. 7/10
