I’ve ordered one of the new Switch’s with the better battery from Scan as they the only place that has a date for them which is 23rd August, didn’t need it but the extra battery life will be useful for my honeymoon to the US in November.

Played for 2-3 hours so far and I am enjoying it a lot more than I did the first one. It feels a lot more structured and varied whereas the first one felt quite samey samey to me.

I have caved as well, I like the first one quite a bit but always got so far then put it down, order from Amazon same day delivery so should have it by 10 tonight.

I finding that my Quest is forgetting my boundary every time I play on it even though I and playing in the same room each time, is anyone finding that?

Got my pre-order down for the 64GB SKU looking forward to some cable free Beat Saber/Super Hot/Robot Recall. I hope someone figures out how to do custom songs on Beat Saber eventually as that turns that game from great to essential in my opinion.

Started to teach myself how to use Blender now that the interface and controls have been improved in the 2.8 beta, does anyone have any good resource or tutorials that they know of that I can follow. I am pretty new to the whole modelling scene so beginner tutorials would be preferable.

I have started work on a new game idea for mobile devices. The premise is that you need to swipe up/down/left/right on the rows and columns to make a word that has been placed in the grid and has its letters highlighted. For example in the image below the word 'above' has been placed in the grid and the letters have been randomised and it is up to you to swipe the rows and columns so that it places the letters in the correct position to spell out the word 'above' in the grid. To vary the gameplay I was going to have different sizes grids, different grid layouts, different length words placed in grid, multiple words placed in grid and some special tiles that will change how a person should go about playing that particular level for example a bomb tile that has a number on it and if the row/col that the bomb is on is moved X number of times the bomb tile will explode and the player will lose the level. Obviously there is a lot more to it than what I have explained but any feedback positive or negative will be welcome.

I brought My Time at Portia today from the eShop, a tad disappointed with the performance of the game in handheld mode, it stutters/hitches when doing the most basic of things. It also locked up on me the first time I started the game on the loading screen so not the best start. I hope they patch it again to improve it as I can see it putting me off playing the game.

I'm pretty sure Sniper Elite V2 out on the 14th May.

Yeah it deploys to them fine but doesn't have a lot of the features that are pretty standard practice when making mobile games natively so if I want them I have to implement myself for all targeted platforms which isn't something that interests me especially when unity it's a couple of clicks and done.

If it had native support for iOS and Android with Ad support/in App Purchases etc I would give it a go over Unity as I like the look of it.

Been thinking recently about starting a YouTube channel mainly revolving GameDev and coding, I’m at the point in my career where I want to start leading projects and I feel like it would be a good way to improve confidence, getting my point across and being able to help other less experienced game developers improve. I was thinking I would start doing some Godot tutorials to start with and then go from there, any advice would be welcome before I start.

Just preordered this on eshop as I have been looking forward to it for a while.
