    Neo Geo Appreciation Thread

Do you have anything else at the moment? I have a spare FZ mobo at the moment but the battery needs replacing. I was just going to put a uni bios in it to circumvent the error message when it switches on but never got around to it. I’d do a straight swap for your multicart if interested?

Stuff that astonishes you about gaming

A genuine WTF moment was watching about how they managed to make a new game for the NES, Micro Mages, and how they managed to fit it into 40kb. Amazing stuff

Let's Play: Persona 2: Innocent Sin

Love the Persona series and have both P2s sitting on my shelf waiting to be played. Good luck!
  7. I had the same. Got a great score with a combo for most of the song but made one too many misses. It was hard to beat but I did it eventually.

    CeX now trading board games

I just wouldn’t want to be stuck behind someone trading one in and watching the staff member tick the pieces off on a checklist!
  9. They seem to have a new section up for board games, not much up at the moment but they are offering some decent prices if you want to get rid of stuff but don’t want to deal with postage. https://uk.webuy.com/search?categoryIds=1106&categoryName=board-games

    Edge #323 25th Anniversary Edition

I came third apparently, not sure who came first. I don’t really want the boxset as I try to avoid clutter so will be putting it up in the for free folder if anyone wants it.

I never heard anything back from Edge about the code cracking, did they announce anything elsewhere?

    Rllmuk's Retro Valuation Thread

I've got something I can't find a value on. It's a PS2 slim debug unit, one of the ones they used to use at shows so they could show pre release game footage before the discs had been printed. It looks just like a normal slimline PS2 but it plays all regions and also burnt discs if they have a master patch applied (it's not chipped or anything, the bios is a DTL one). I can't find anything similar apart from fat PS2s, anyone have any info?
  14. Something that never ever happens to me happened the other day, I got there first. I popped into the house clearance shop across the road from me as I always do once a week and asked if he had got any games in but alas no he replied. I had a wander anyway a spotted a large IKEA bag filled with DVDs, the chap shouted 50p each. This bag was right in the corner of the shop underneath a cupboard, so I pulled it out and spied a an Actua Soccer for the PS1, my interest rose. I started to dig and realised the bag was mainly filled with ps1/ds/3ds. I pulled out a Mario Kart 7 3ds and knew I was the first to pick it. I kept going, palms sweaty, and fished out 5 more 3ds games, nothing special, but stuff like nintendogs and cats, rabbids 3D, Lego friends etc decent CeX trade ins. I know there are a number of people near me who professionally mine charity shops and go in every morning at opening time and enquire what they got in. I never find anything, so this felt pretty awesome! Keep digging!
