Our whole server was hacked and every site on the server was compromised (such as my own personal site). As such we have stopped the httpd and mysqld until we can figure out how it was exploited. As this is the holidays (and the two of my friends that are mostly responsible for the running of the server are in America) getting the site up may take longer than usual. Nothing was lost as far as I know. I'll see if I can get ftp re-enabled so that I can finish the back up I was doing (they turned off webservices whilst I was doing this). Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience. Damn those hacking bastards to hell.

    Tick tick tick tick

I used to love "Final Round, Fight" from Street Fighter II Turbo on the old Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I used to recreate it in the sound test as it only came up if you tied a round.

Well yes damn it. I wasn't trying to make it look like that but thats the way it turned out. Obviously I used the zeldman list design from list-o-matic and that in turn has made the site look like ala. Bah humbug.

I'll see what I can do. The banners are just randomly created png's by myself and aren't linked to their original wallpaper id numbers by anyway so I'd need to go and do some shuffling to see if I can make that work. I'm not promising anything. I just through of an easy way to do it though.... is the easy way just adding text to the image? No, I'll just make an array with the banner numbers and their respective wallpaper id numbers and then use that to look up the appropriate info in the database.

Hmmm. Interesting. Which page in particular? Anyway you could take a screen shot if it happens again?

I do the thumbnails as jpg to save space, but the actual desktops are in whichever format they are uploaded as. fortunatly most people have uploaded them as PNGs.

We have Yoshi's Island, Mario 2 and Mario 3 ones thus far. I'll see if I can get someone to make a Super Mario World one. Or I may make it myself.

    Deus Ex 2

Nope. But no one should be using an MX card anyway. From Ebgames.com (as I couldn't find anything on the dx2 website) : System Requirements: Intel Pentium IV 1.3ghz (or AMD Athlon XP equivalent); Windows 98SE/2000/XP (95/NT not supported); 256 MB System RAM; 32 MB 100% DirectX 9.x compatible 3D graphics cards; 100% DirectX 9.x compatible-Compatible Sound Card; Quad Speed (4X) CD-ROM drive; 2GB free disk space; 100% Windows 98SE/2000/XP compatible mouse and keyboard

I don't think the mx 4 can run deus ex 2 at all can it. I think you need a video card with pixel shaders and stuff.

    Deus Ex 2

I've been finding Deus Ex 2 to be more of an RPG that the first one. Kind of more like KOTOR in play structure. The only thing I don't like is the combat really. I wish the game wouldn't force you into combat situations.

    Deus Ex 2

1024x768 No AA or AF (all application preference). I dunno, it feels the same at lower resolutions as well. It is no where near unplayble, just goes a bit slow considering the quality of the graphics and the spec of my system.

    Deus Ex 2

For reference, it runs smoothish (not rock solid fps and jerky at times) on : Athlon XP 3200+ Radeon 9800 Pro 1gb ram Not the most efficient game ever then.

    Deus Ex 2

Yeah, I found the demo to be shit, but am finding the full thing rather more compelling. The only things that annoy me are the horrible, horrible load times and combat. I much prefer the hacking/sneaking/rpging and if there are more that two people with decent guns you end up getting bum rushed and killed (and I keep forgetting to save often enough). It runs okay on my machine with full settings at 1024x768
