  1. I beat the first boss easily a while ago. Now I can’t get past him. First bit is easy. It’s when he goes mental near the end. I can easily slip up just once - he gets s few good hits in and I’m finished.

Most impressive use of limited hardware.

I remember being really impressed by the Melbourne House Transformers game on PS2. It had open landscapes, long draw distances, grass and foliage. I hadn't seen anything like it on a console before.
  3. I summoned Sif for Manus. It made the fight pretty easy. I couldn’t kill the dragon in the DLC area though.
  4. Gwyn was a piece of piss compared to Bed of Chaos. Almost beat him on my first try but I was tired and couldn’t see clearly. Second time I just kept parrying him and only got hit (grabbed!) a couple of times. I got the “bad” ending though as I walked out of the arena (wanted to see what else I could do before lighting the flame). Still, I’m going to attempt new game plus (after a few week’s rest!)
  5. Just died 4 times in a row. This is the hardest boss in the game!
  6. I did it! But then I burst into flames and died.
  7. Bed of Chaos is fucking annoying. How are you supposed to get down that hole that opens up? I can't get close because it keeps swiping me out of the way. I've tried running, rolling, jumping, walking slowly, approaching from both sides, jumping from the side,... It's getting silly - I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
  8. Can invaders loot chests?
  9. Is this more buggy than the original? I got invaded in The Duke's Archives and spent 30 minutes looking for the invader who wasn't there (or was hiding, I dunno). Enemies started floating in mid-air and were unresponsive. The quit option was greyed out and bonfires were unusable so I had to force shut down.

    Mike Leigh’s Nuts in May

“What are you reading Keith?” “The Guinness Book of Records.” For some reason that’s still really funny no matter how many times I watch it. As is most of the film. It’s up on iPlayer if you haven’t seen it for a while. Search “Play for Today”. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00jzj72/play-for-today-series-6-12-nuts-in-may

Netflix Recommendations - See OT for other thread

The ending was bizarre. As were some loose ends. I thought it seemed unfinished.

Peter Jackson to adapt Mortal Engines for the screen

Could be. Certainly not a new thing. There was that bit at the start of Monty Python’s Meaning of Life too.

He did, but Harper Collins’s threat was in response to him posting that image on, I think, various sites trying to stir up a bit of publicity over the similarities.

    It's my brother's work.

Dunno, but the artwork is from 5 years before the first book. I wouldn't want to say too much as he was threatened by Harper Collins (publisher in US) at one point over the title, but it's possible that Philip Reeve could have seen it - and been influenced by it - indeed, he met Philip Reeve a few years back browsing some of his work in a gallery.
