  1. Someone over at the Sega 16 forums is hacking one of my favourite games Ghouls ’n’ Ghosts so it looks more like the arcade. The original is an early game and didn’t have the option of using a larger rom to replicate the arcade graphics as well as it could have. It must be a huge task, I really hope he finishes it. 2. This is worth a watch as it covers the topic of price fixing that’s been happening recently
  3. I chose the Megadrive mini which comes with USB dongles.
  4. I understand that the RMC board isn’t very tempting for those who already have a full set up. For me though who is just starting out it makes a lot of sense. Plus I like the consolized form factor over the rectangular stack. I’m undecided on the 3D printed case at the moment and the price will determine if I get one or wait to see what happens further down the line.
  5. Here you go. I ordered the USB rather than the DB9 version £15.63 46% Off | 8BitDo M30 2.4G Wireless Gamepad for Sega Genesis/Gega Genesis Mini and Mega Drive/Mini - Sega Genesis Wireless Game Controller https://star.aliexpress.com/share/share.htm?image=U145ffa3ce4b4419ea0d3a7153517b3c4G.jpg&businessType=ProductDetail&title=£15.63 46% Off | 8BitDo M30 2.4G Wireless Gamepad for Sega Genesis%2FGega Genesis Mini and Mega Drive%2FMini - Sega Genesis Wireless Game Controller&platform=AE&redirectUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.aliexpress.com%2Fitem%2F4000823953259.html%3F%26srcSns%3Dsns_Copy%26tid%3Dwhite_backgroup_101%26mb%3DXv1WVzBmNPRW4a6%26businessType%3DProductDetail%26spreadType%3DsocialShare
  6. I only have the DE10 so far but couldn’t resist these at 45% off from AliExpress.
  7. And it arrived today. That was faster than I was expecting. Update video from RMC
  8. NEC made the best multisync monitors back in the 90’s. How did I not know they made one with a PC Engine built in?
  9. I’ve sat on the MiSTer fence for long enough. I’m definitely buying one of these with a DE10 nano when they go on sale next month.
  10. In the car on the way home from the rave.

    Yacht Rock

I like the look of this The latest compilation in the essential Too Slow To Disco series is undoubtedly one of the best yet. Instead of focusing on sugary, pitched-down disco, the set showcases what it calls "yacht soul" - suitably sweet, often overblown yacht rock and downtempo disco covers of classic soul songs. There's some superb material on show throughout, with our highlights including Boby Everett's jazz-rock-meets-Philly Soul take on the Beach Boys' 'God Only Knows', a hot-stepping '80s soul cover of Fleetwood Mac's Balearic classic gem 'Everywhere' by Chaka Khan, a deliciously tactile and loved up, boogie-era Aretha Franklin recording of 'What a Fool Believes' and a frankly triumphant, heavily orchestrated soul cover of Paul McCartney's 'Let 'Em In' by the brilliant Billy Paul. https://www.juno.co.uk/products/too-slow-to-disco-presents-yacht/825684-01/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_21-07-12&utm_term=feat_email_all_CD&utm_content=feat_email_header&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_cd&c=5277
  12. Lovely bit of sun soaked deep house from G-Prod & Taho. Unfortunately it’s not being released until mid September
