I like the work on you stormcasts base, it looks very effective.

Yeah, that’s not a bad idea. It’s storing it that’s the issue for me. I have to use the kitchen table so it a pain getting everything thing out and putting them away. And a massive palette is not ideal. Live and learn though.

I bought myself a wet palette, my home made ones were forever going mouldy. Maybe I should have checked the dimensions before I ordered it, its a bit on the large size.

I’ve not received my sub, but I only subscribed from issue three about two week ago. My confirmation was they would send issue three and four, then five and six , then four issues at a time after that. Although I reckon I will probably cancel from issue 7 as I can’t really justify it at full price.

I’ve just spammed the game tag list over the last day so if you get a request from staffnurse100 it is from me. Hope nobody minds!

I don’t know if this has been discussed in the thread but how loud or quiet should a one s be? I can’t hear mine when I’m playing a game but in a quiet room it’s loud. It doesn’t seem to be a clicking fan issue. Its still under warranty but I can’t tell if I’m just being unreasonable about the volume of the fan?

I’m really impressed with the sculpts that they are producing now. Back in the early 90s they were doing more plastic minis but I always thought they were crap, but looking at them know the details and scale Is amazing. I got a unexpected typhus mini for Christmas and it is awesome. I am a bit daunted about starting it as I want to be able to do it justice. It the ones the back. These are my next ones to start, still got a few things to glue into place yet. Except it wont let me upload a pic now! Anyway it is a stormcast eternal, a chaos warrior and Typhus, herald of the plague god

I’ve been painting one of the minis I got for Christmas, I’m really pleased with the loincloth, although it does not seem to pop as much in photos. Here is a wip.

Nice one, thanks for that. Jesus though, ‘94. Where did it go!

Does anyone have any idea when these judge knock offs, Adeptus Arbites, were released? I had a brief dalliance with painting these after ditching painting and wargaming when I was a teenager, but I cannot remember the year. Looking back at at these models I don’t know how GW got away with it! These are not my efforts, it’s s google pic

I’m using army painter brushes, it was the insane detail brush I have been using. I’ve found following the oft repeated maxim of thinning your paints has been helpful. I just wish I had known back in the day.

That’s two more done, well apart from the bases. I have bottled doing any edge highlighting yet, I’m worried I’ll balls up what I’ve already done. I reckon though I can go back to them later when I’ve got better bush control. All in all I’ve had a blast these last few nights painting, the hours disappear though and I suffered a bit in the morning having to get the kids up and ready for school. Worth it though!

Thanks, I got the army painter starter set, but there is no gold for my ultramarines, so a trip to hobby craft tomorrow. My favourite chapter was the space wolves but I’m going to make it easy on myself and just do Them as ultramarines while I’m getting my eye in.

Thanks to this thread I’ve picked up a brush after about 25 years. I asked for some little plastic men and paints for my 42nd birthday. I’ve had a blast today, apart from realising my eyesight is not as good as I once was. Here is my first effort the first strike set. I’m pretty happy with it although the tentacles need more highlights.

Did Star Wars ANH get a UK rerelease?

I saw it in the local working mens club, it must have been about 1980. It was shown in the concert room on a projector. They used to show films a lot when I was a kid but Star Wars is the only one I can properly remember.
