  1. From my perspective it means I don't have to ever buy another xbox console, nor buy another first party game. I can play them all on my PC with the three years of game pass I bought for £90. I've also been able to play a load of games that I took a passing interest in, but I'd never actually pay to play. It's basically netflix for games.
  2. We did the fourth boss this evening. It was fun. And today I finally got my first house in a workable state. It's taken me so long to finish it as every task ends up with me getting distracted by something else. For example today I wanted to take the portal to the mountain, to get some obsidian, to make arrows, to fight the aforementioned boss. I head to the mountain and get attacked, but I can't fight back as I've got not even got any basic arrows. So I pop home and am need of a bit of wood. I head out into the forrest and to cut a long story short, three hours later I've built a pig farm and have trapped several boar. Still genuinely loving every moment of this.
  3. You might die, you might not. It's all part of the adventure. Get on a ship and go explore Viking.
  4. We took out our third boss last night. Me and a friend filled long boat with iron. We sailed it back to his house, I out my half on a cart and I headed home. Well, the cart was having none of it and I took a wrong turn down the side of a steep cliff in the dark Forrest. So I set up camp, stashed it, went home, got the stuff for my own ship and wedged the cart on the ship and set off. The sail home was a nightmare. The ship was at a 45degree a hole, the sail caused the cart to vibrate and I was fearful of everything. I managed to get near to my base, only to be killed by a troll as I got off the ship. A few corpse runs and expletives later and I killed the troll and floated the cart home down the edge of a river. The whole thing probably took 5 hours. Still. 260ish iron to smelt.
  5. Nah, he's fine and pretty funny. It's just a sign of the times that the giant bomb crew, along with all of us, are older and grumpier.
  6. Late to the party but it's worth pointing out Vinnie backed dream daddies and abby in that debate as well. He really went to bat for it. I definitely found Abby annoying at times, but I really miss her interactions with him as I feel like she brought out a really interesting side of Vinnie that can get lost a little in the banter.
  7. @idiwa god damn, that is a good looking build. So you're right extensions are just straight cables that run from the end of the manufacturers cable to the component. They are a nightmare to hide in the back. The only other alternative are custom cables specific for your psu. The reason being the pin out from the psu, doesn't map 1:1 to where you plug it into a component. There's usually some cross over and in the case of the 24 pin, capacitors, splits and other fun stuff. If you want to get a tighter bend on your existing cable, let it sit on a warm radiator for a while, until it loosens up. Then form it and hold it whilst it cools.
  8. What's your setup? I've got a 1080ti, 9900k and Rift S and it works flawlessly. I'm playing the game through origin.
  9. I only just clocked, but you basically never want to be in the balanced power mode. Maxing one stats gives you a passive boost, so ideally it makes sense to be matching power modes to activity.
  10. Yeah, this method works, but you only have so many counter measures. Ideally you want to be doing sharp 90 and 180 degree turns, using sceanary if you can. Boost your engines for the evasion and if you're a rebel flip your shields to reverse.
  11. Exactly. If AMD come with a strong message of on par fps, a competitive price and have 100k units ready to ship. Then they might score big here. Nvidia have created a massive demand, but just aren't able to fill it. It all I think depends on how AMD have built their supply line. If it is pushed to the limits because of the consoles they may be a bit fucked, but if they've built in that capacity, then christ the turns may table.
  12. The game doesn't really sign post it, but when you first load into it, do the character creation, kick off the first mission and then escape to the main menu. In multiplayer there's a practice mode and you can use it to map your controls on the fly. The horses support is shit, especially in comparison to flight sim, but it only took me a few mins to get the core ones set up.
  13. The EVGA EU RMA is fine from within the UK. I sent my 1080ti to them and had a referb back within 7 working days.
