  1. I just mean some kinda cpu overclock enough to scale up. I guess I don’t really care as I use an X. But a nice small diskless model for bedroom would be nice.
  2. It’s a shame they couldn’t do a spec bump to at least match the PS4 in performance / target 1080p. Putting this out with the intention of it having a few years shelf life seems an opportunity missed to make it the base model going forward . Plus it should indeed be smaller and cheaper. It’s a bit disappointing.

    Battlefield V

I liked firestorm - it feels so slow coming off the back of Apex but i got more kills last night in the last 3 weeks of playing Apex so im feeling positive. Plus a squad win with the Adrenalin pumping, the final circle was 1-1 my squadmate and another guy - the other guy got burned in the fire - its pretty mental at that stage! I liked the map. Overall it feels like a slicker PUBG.
  5. No, Xbox. Maybe the smaller player pool are more talented
  6. I think I need a break. I’ve played 25 hours, had 2 wins and many, many, many rounds with 0 kills. I play with mates only, all older dudes but we play smart enough but when it comes to combat we just get dropped too easy. We actually get a fair amount of 2nd place finishes but can never do the business. I’m disappointed but the frustration is overtaking the fun. Yet in BF5 when we play we do really well and an swing a map by teamwork. Looking forward to trying firestorm, maybe it just suits better.
  7. I love the game but still finding it very hard. I play with other ‘average older gamers’ so we are shite aim but reasonably sensible and get to the last 2 often. We just shit ourselves then and get wiped out lots, regardless if in good defensive positions or whatever. Personally I seem to panic in the last 2 and mess up shields, smoke, reloading or whatever. Can’t seem to stay calm and only 2 wins under my belt. But the speed into next game and smoothness keep me playing!

Metro Exodus - First on the Epic Store

I'm really enjoying it, heading towards the end of winter myself. The game play appeals to me, I like narrative shooters in the Half Life vein. Yet I can still go off from the story for a while and explore and fight monsters I don't like fully open world games in the ubisoft mould as i get overwhelmed with trying to do everything and it begins to feel like a tickbox exercise. I think they'd make a great Half Life episode if valve ever outsource.

Minecraft - Better Together update now available

My kids have played creative for a year now and still aren't bored! They're building bigger and better things! We have now started a survival map and they now understand crafting much better and get a real kick out of it.

Metro Exodus - First on the Epic Store

I’ve just finished the first few intro hours and it’s opened up at Volga. Instead of following Anna I’ve went off piste exploring. It was fun and scary! But I’m assuming I’m coming to places that will feature in the story, am I better just following her and doing some light exploring during that? Note that I’m a time sensitive gamer who likes narrative

    Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

I really enjoyed this on gamepass and finished it on Sunday. The combat really grew on me, saddened i had to turn auto down to easy for 1 bit later in the game that had me pulling my hair out. The Story was interesting and held together well. The level design was excellent, especially the background detail - always changing and disintegrating as the game went on. Plus the audio on headphones was stunning and a real highlight. A perfect gamepass title.

Metro Exodus - First on the Epic Store

I'm looking forward to it but its came at a bad time, as id happily play Apex for the next few weeks and dip into Crackdown. Cant decide whether to buy now or pick up when ive actually time to play.
  14. have you ever played PUBG on console? The lobby on this is frankly amazing compared to it! you can exit a game, be in lobby and back in a game within a minute or 2. PUBG, party get split up after a game, re-join party, ready up, ready up broken for someone, drop back to game, rejoin party another 2 times before it finally loads. Average time between game near 10 mins.
  15. After 8 hours I’ve finally broke my duck and won a round. Playing with 2 randoms, no voice chat but all sensible and pinging away. Pathfinder hacked and unlocked the circles. Had reasonable loot and I decided to let the more experienced player in the team lead. So towards the end where I’d have been zip lining to the circle he took us a different route meaning we got a bead on the last few squads and were already in the final circle. A wild firefight to finish including a well timed revive by me, I take out the kill leader and become the champion with the final kill. I wish my video settings were 2 mins to capture our assault on the last 2 teams. https://xboxdvr.com/gamer/fattakin/video/69294127 The adrenaline was pumping, heart racing and took me 10 mins to recover - the same as the few times I had a squad win in PUBG. PUbG wins were so hard, and often frustrating due to its jank and poor player feedback. Apex has load of feedback, I know when I’ve knocked their shields due to the colour flash etc. Anyway I’m rambling. TL:DR it’s starting to click for me and I’m enjoying it loads.
