  1. Double dip for me; got my free copy from EA coming, which I'll use as part ex, for a pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition. With less time on my hands, I can see this and CoD getting a lot of my attention for pick up and play, regardless of the state of the rllmuk league.
  2. I'm annoyed that Bolasie is likely off to Villa as I planned to have him as my arena player in FIFA 19 (5* skills yo) given that Adama has already left. Realistically though, Boro should be looking to take Adomah back on loan but we're also linked with a Huddersfield outcast for the wing. We're doing well at the minute but I agree with Pulis, the squad doesn't have strength in depth, however, the starting XI looks comparable with anyone in the division.
  3. It's true, when there's a good squad, BF is one of the best gaming experiences going. Though it can be frustrating when people try play it rogue like CoD, instead of PTFO. I'm sure there will be plenty of squads going on launch day, see how many we can get going with [MUK] tags... Pleased to see the sub-class approach in the new one; I have always loved being medic but support with deployable cover looks pretty epic now too. I long for the day where squad based equipment makes a return though; I miss the tracer dart and laser targeting equipment from the older games.
  4. I have to say, I try budget myself to 12 games a year and BFV, initially, didn't make it into my list. I think it's a combination of timing, a resurgence in CoD and the world war era.
  5. I'm rocking a 1060 3GB and it noticeably looks better than BF1 on PS4 Pro.
  6. They're not even remotely comparable and, as has been alluded to, the current released build of BFV is seriously lagging behind in terms of stability. The alpha has swayed my opinion of this though; I was never a fan of BF1, not only the setting but the needlessly large scale of the maps with minimal cover. Thankfully Amiens on Frontlines mode saved the day for me. BFV, on the other hand, feels more refined in terms of the released maps so far. It feels like each building has a purpose, clearly overlooking objectives, but equally is also a target for destruction or to be used as an enemy stronghold. There were also more capture points to acquire across the map, so even if the maps are equally as large, the ground to cover between bases has been reduced. The inclusion of a third person camera for squad joining is long overdue and other nice adjustments include better UI flow into battle and the visual flair associated with ribbons has been toned down in favour of the spectacular environmental factors demonstrated throughout the trailers. I'll be picking up both this and Call of Duty, there is always room for both, I just hope that this is finally the entry that drags me away from the well-refined gameplay of BF4 as BF1 didn't quite fully convince me.
  7. I just mentioned it in the main thread but if anyone fancies it, Borderlands: Handsome Collection is £9 on PSN. Great game that I always seem to gravitate back to, especially considering BL3 looks like it will be a way off. If anyone picks it up, give me a holla - I'm back on BL2.
  8. Wise Fwon Your Grave... I've just recently got back into this and is only £9 digital on PS4 for the Handsome Collection - does anybody fancy partying up? (PS4) Or does anyone have any high-level characters I can crash in on please? @alex3d - I imagine this is long past now but you can join a community on PS4 which shows live matches where you can join in progress. Assuming you don't get kicked, you can jump into Level 70+ games for boosting.
  9. Nice one @Dave White - Great stuff. I got the Guile cover, my personal favourite
  10. A couple for me... Sea of Thieves - loved Rare back in the day and I thought this would finally be the game to put them back on the map. Yooka-Laylee - As above, I was a huge fan of Banjo-Kazooie and this was the first Kickstarter I put my money towards, praying that N64-era platformers could have a resurgence. Ended up being slightly underwhelmed with both games but happy to support the dev teams none the less. Honourable mention goes to Nex Machina which as a follow up to Resogun, the best game on PlayStation IMO, was extremely disappointing too but enough credit was in the bank for me to support the team.
  11. He get's banished to a remote tropical island where he starts to question the definition of insanity...
  12. Really good signing for Wolves and we got decent money off him too, even if Villa are taking a slice of it. I don't know how many more years we will talk about his "potential" though, he needs to start living up to the hype rather than being seen as a one-trick pony.
  13. Totally made me lol too, the episode was framed so well before he delivered that punchline This show is simply the best thing on TV and, as has been suggested, is superior to Breaking Bad - which was also stellar. I genuinely can't remember watching a bad episode of this.
  14. It's one game, don't get carried away... Good to see that youth is being given a chance though.
  15. Traore is absolutely rapid and goes past properly established players with ease. That being said, it's all about his end product which, admittedly is getting better, but still leaves a lot to be desired.
  16. That made me laugh! Poor deal all around unless Burnley plan to ditch one of their keepers and use Joe Hart in the cups, a decent back up at least. For a team that finished well into the top 10, this move could seriously backfire if he gets the #1 shirt.
  17. Apparently, Waghorn is having a medical at Derby as they matched Boro's offer. I think the Bamford sale is a really poor piece of business if we don't bring in another forward.
  18. Gibson gone to Burnley £15 is an absolute snip for a player of his calibre. With Adama out the squad, it's likely he's off on his travels too. Best Striker, Best Defender, and soon, Best Midfielder gone for a combined fee of £40m+. Looks like Fry needs to finally step up, wasn't convinced with the performance of Flint yesterday either. I also hope now that Chapman and Tavernier get a good crack of the whip in attacking midfield too.
  19. Just a day left to submit any scores for this round!
  20. Totally agree... Traore for £18m? You have to say that's good money, especially if they get a sell on clause. He's £70m of talent with the brain of a Sunday league youth player. Bamford for £10m? You also have to say that's good business, assuming we get a decent replacement. He wasn't getting a fair crack of the whip and we made a profit based off his form from 4 years ago. Gibson for £13m? Burnley, as always, are taking the piss. Had he jumped to the PL last season, I would have put money on him pushing for the England squad. He was easily worth £25m+ last season and before; he had a few bad patches since and we weren't as solid but anything less than £20m is an insult considering the prices flying round for Stones, Maguire etc. This time last season I thought we would comfortably hit top 6, I didn't want to get carried away with the demand for promotion. This season, as above, I reckon we'll do well to finish top 8. The squad isn't any stronger and 3 of our best players are in the sights of other clubs with Bamford already gone. 1 - Leeds 2 - Stoke After that it could be a free for all!
  21. Yeah I've got one, what do you find works well on it? Everything up to the 16-bit era? Beyond that?
